New to California. Not new to this.

Sector Technology Group specifies, configures, and supports the technology that lives inside public safety vehicles. Years of it across the Midwest, for municipal departments, sheriff's offices, federal agencies, and university systems. We are now on the ground in California, and we would rather come look at your fleet than guess at it from a catalog.

The part nobody quotes on

Buying the equipment was never the hard part.

Anyone can sell you a rugged laptop. What is harder to find is someone who will ask what software you actually run, look at how the vehicle is already built, and spec the thing so it works alongside the mount, the router, and the evidence platform it has to live with.

Most quotes cover hardware. They do not cover whether the pieces talk to each other, whether the device arrives ready to hand to an officer, or who answers when a warranty claim stalls out six months later. Those gaps get absorbed by your staff, and they cost more than the line items do.

That work is what we actually sell. The equipment is how it gets delivered.

In case you have not heard of us

A full-stack public safety technology provider.

Sector Technology Group supplies and supports the technology that lives inside working vehicles: rugged computers and tablets, in-car and body-worn video, mobile connectivity and antennas, vehicle mounting and power management, LPR, video security, and real-time command center systems.

We are not a manufacturer, and we are not a catalog reseller. We select the brands that survive real field conditions, integrate them so they work together, and stay involved through configuration, installation, and the years of support that follow. That last part is where most vendor relationships quietly end. It is where ours tend to start.

Our roots are in law enforcement, fire, and EMS, which is a demanding place to learn this trade. The same standard now goes into commercial fleets, campus operations, and public works.

WHO WE WORK WITH IN CALIFORNIA

Where we spend most of our time

Patrol, investigations, and the vehicles that carry both

Rugged laptops and tablets specified for the CAD and RMS you actually run. In-car and body-worn video that reaches your evidence platform without a detour. Mobile routers and antennas that hold signal at the county line. Mounts, docks, consoles, partitions, and the power management that keeps all of it alive through a full shift.

We have deployed for municipal police departments, sheriff's offices, state agencies, and federal investigative agencies. Most of that work started the same way: someone had one thing that kept failing.

Law Enforcement solutions →
Apparatus and medic units

Technology that survives the environment it works in

Ruggedized tablets for ePCR and pre-plan access, mobile connectivity that does not drop between the station and the scene, mounting built for apparatus rather than adapted to it, and lighting and power systems that hold up to a decade of use.

Fire and EMS buy on different cycles than law enforcement and often inherit whatever the last grant paid for. We are comfortable working inside that.

Fire & Rescue solutions →
Anyone whose office is a truck

The consumer tablet is almost never the cheap decision

A consumer tablet in a work truck gets replaced every eighteen to twenty-four months, and standard warranties do not cover what actually kills it: the drop, the dust, the heat, the vibration. Every failure is a full replacement, plus IT hours, plus a crew standing around waiting on it.

Utilities, construction, agriculture, transportation, HVAC and mechanical contractors, and municipal public works. Our standard was set by vehicles that run twenty-four hours a day and cannot come out of service. A service truck is a friendlier place to work.

Campus safety and district operations

Campus police, district fleets, and the buildings in between

We support university police departments and school districts on the same terms as any other agency: vehicle technology, video and access control, cellular coverage in buildings that were built to keep signal out, and emergency communication systems.

University clients have been some of our longest engagements, in part because campus safety leadership tends to stay in the role.

WHAT CHANGES WHEN YOU TALK TO SECTOR

01 · SPEED

48-Hour Quote Turnaround

Once we have what we need, whether that is a short form, a phone call, an email, or a competitor's quote, you have a clear number in 48 hours. Not weeks.

02 · YOUR REP

One Person, Start to Finish

One dedicated account representative for service, warranty, add-ons, and replacements over the life of the equipment. Our customers have our cell phones. That is not a slogan, it is how we operate.

03 · OBJECTIVITY

Multi-Vendor, Mission-First

We represent several proven manufacturers in every category. We recommend what fits your operational reality and your budget, not what is easiest for us to sell.

04 · ON THE GROUND

We Would Rather See It Than Guess

We come look at your fleet, your existing mounting, and how your crews actually work, before anyone writes a quote. Specs built off a phone call are how agencies end up with equipment that does not fit the vehicle it was bought for.

BEFORE IT REACHES YOUR LOT

Configured before it arrives, not after

We are not a manufacturer. We select the brands that survive real field conditions, make them work together, and stay involved through the years of support that follow.

Devices arrive imaged and ready to hand to an officer or a crew lead. Cameras enrolled and talking to your evidence platform. Routers pre-configured for the network they are going into. Configuration is the difference between a box of hardware and a working system, and it is the step most vendors leave to you.

Those are the lines we deploy most often, not the whole catalog. If your agency already standardizes on something else, tell us and we will source it.

When you need the whole vehicle, not one part of it

A full squad build is not something that happens out of a service van, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Ask about STAMP UPFIT: Sector sources the vehicle, builds it at our Midwest facility, and ships it to you ready to deploy.

It runs on a fixed annual payment instead of a capital purchase, and your department keeps the title. No third-party lessor, no dealer markup. Vehicle sourcing, upfit, technology package, service for the life of the agreement, and end-of-life decommissioning all sit under one agreement and one point of contact.

It is not the first thing we will bring up. But if your fleet replacement cycle has stalled out against a capital budget, it is worth twenty minutes.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU REACH OUT

1

Tell us what is going on

A form, an email, or a phone call. You do not need specs, a part number, or a budget figure. The operational problem is enough to start.

2

We look at it, or we send a number

If it helps to have eyes on the vehicle, we drive out. If you just want pricing, you have it in 48 hours. Your call, not ours.

3

You review it. Nothing is committed

Take it to your commissioners, your chief, or your CFO. If our number is not better, you have a stronger file. We will not call you twice.

4

We install, configure, and stay on it

Equipment arrives configured. Installation is scheduled around your operations. The same representative handles warranty, add-ons, and the refresh three years from now.

WHAT SHERIFFS AND CHIEFS SAY

"

The technicians were very professional, courteous, and showed pride in their work. They went above and beyond.

Sheriff Gary AndersonAppanoose County Sheriff's Office
"

Communication and personal touch was key. Being shown the finished product and getting the hands-on demonstration was great.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We are on the ground in California and we work with agencies here directly, including coming out to see your operation before anyone writes a quote. Our headquarters, warehouse, and upfit facility are in the Midwest, and that is where builds and depot work happen.

Come look at your fleet and your operation. Specify and quote across manufacturers instead of pushing one line. Configure and image devices before they ship, so they arrive working rather than arriving as a project. Coordinate warranty and RMA so your staff is not chasing a manufacturer. Plan refreshes. For a complete vehicle, build it at our Midwest facility and ship it to you finished.

No. Our upfit facility is in the Midwest. If you need a complete build, ask about STAMP UPFIT, which is how we source, build, and ship a finished vehicle. If you need devices deployed into vehicles you already have, we configure them before they ship so your own techs are not troubleshooting on arrival.

Maybe you would not, and that is a fine answer. But a second quote is normal procurement practice and it costs you a form. If our number is better, you have options. If it is not, you have a stronger file for whoever approves the spend. Either way we do not call you twice.

Small items, meaning cables, mounts, clips, and replacement parts, are orderable directly from sector.shop on your own schedule with your own payment method. No purchase order cycle. Anything larger goes through your account representative, and we will work to whatever procurement process your agency requires. Tell us the constraints and we will build the quote to fit them.

Fifteen minutes. We ask what you are running, what keeps breaking, and when your next refresh is scheduled. No deck, no pricing pressure, and no follow-up sequence unless you ask for one.

Get an opinion, or get a number.

Tell us what you are running and what keeps failing. A conversation takes fifteen minutes. A competitive quote takes 48 hours and costs you a form.
