Fleet and field work leans on tablets more than patrol does, because the device moves with the crew. The Getac ZX80 is the workhorse, an 8 inch fully rugged Android tablet light enough to run one-handed, with a 1,000-nit sunlight-readable screen, glove touch, a hot-swappable battery, and the durability to take a six-foot drop, IP67 water and dust sealing, and temperatures from minus 20 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. It is built for forklift operation, electronic logging, and field data work, and it is Android Enterprise Recommended for fleet management. Step up to a 10 or 12 inch Windows tablet like the UX10, F120, or K120 when the job needs a larger screen or a keyboard dock, a convertible like the V120 for crews that move between desk and field, or a B-series or S-series laptop for heavy software in the truck. How a device is mounted decides whether it survives the year. For an over-the-road truck, Sector docks the device in a vehicle-specific heavy-duty mount bolted to the chassis, on a telescoping pole with a locking swing arm so the driver can position it and lock it out of the way, with the cradle handling power and antenna passthrough in one clean unit. For a forklift, reach truck, or pallet rider, a rugged pole mount with over-molded clamps grips the mast and dampens the vibration, with full rotation for the operator. Power is isolated and fused so the device does not pull down the vehicle, and antennas are placed for the connectivity the cab needs. We install this in everything from a Freightliner cab to warehouse equipment, and the install is finished to last.

It runs electronic logging and hours-of-service compliance, dispatch and navigation, and proof-of-delivery, all on a device that holds signal and survives the road. The same in-cab platform pairs with telematics and fleet video to flag harsh braking, hard cornering, and collision events, feeding driver coaching and giving you a defensible record when a claim lands, with the AI-assisted review handled so your team is not watching raw footage. The same rugged tablet that runs the cab does the work outside it. For field service it carries work orders, asset and fleet maintenance records, inspections, and field data capture. For utilities it handles smart-meter reading and installation, asset management, and mobile GIS, surveying, and mapping. In the warehouse it ties a forklift or a handheld to the inventory and materials-handling system so picking, putaway, and counts move faster and with fewer errors.
