Troy Products has been designing and manufacturing public safety vehicle equipment since 1991, out of Montebello, California. It started by custom-building consoles to house electronics for a local police department, and grew into one of the larger single-source lines of public safety vehicle equipment in the country: consoles, prisoner transport and partitions, cargo and storage, weapon boxes, push bumpers, and command posts.

The company builds in the United States from heavy-gauge aluminum and steel and guarantees its products for the life of the vehicle. In 2021 it acquired Prisoner Transport Systems, adding patented transport seats and partition equipment to a lineup already built around the interior of the public safety vehicle. Much of what Troy makes is designed for specific vehicle models, and the company builds custom for agencies that need it.
