About Hanwha

Hanwha is a video surveillance company with an unusual pedigree. It began as Samsung Techwin, the optics and imaging division that built cameras and precision instruments, and in 2015 it was acquired by Hanwha Group, one of South Korea's largest conglomerates. It sells today under the Hanwha name.

The company builds a complete surveillance platform: IP and thermal cameras, network and hybrid recorders, video management software, plus networking, access control, and audio. Its cameras are known for optical quality and for on-device AI analytics, and the whole line is NDAA-compliant, built on chipsets Hanwha develops itself.

Sector carries Hanwha because fixed video surveillance is its own discipline, separate from the mobile and vehicle equipment that makes up much of what we do.
