In-car video built for the record that matters
Cameras, recording, secure storage, and evidence management, specified and installed as one system. For patrol evidence or fleet liability, Sector builds the whole chain and stands behind it.
A camera is not a system
Most in-car video fails in the gap between the parts. A camera records, but the file never offloads. The footage exists, but no one can prove it was not altered. The hardware works, but it was wired by whoever was available, and it dies in a hot cabin six months later. The video that clears an officer or defeats a bogus claim is only useful if it captured the moment, survived the trip, and holds up when someone challenges it. Sector specs the cameras, the recorder, the storage, the offload, and the integration as one chain, installs it to last, and supports it for the life of the system. The point is not footage. The point is a record you can rely on.
WHO THIS SERVES
Evidence that survives the challenge
Dash and cabin cameras, an in-car DVR, body-worn integration, and CJIS-aware evidence management, built around the chain of custody. Coordinated triggering captures every angle, automated offload moves it without officer effort, and the storage backend holds up in court. This is the deepest version of the system Sector builds.
Protect the driver, defend the claim
Road-facing and driver-facing cameras with telematics, driver-state and collision warning, and a single source of truth when an incident or a claim lands on your desk. Different purpose than patrol, different platforms, same standard of install and support. Sector sources and integrates the right fleet video platform for your operation.
Cameras on the apparatus
Scene and apparatus-mounted video for documentation, training, and response review. The need is real but every deployment is specific to the rig and the department. Tell us what you run and what you need to capture, and Sector will spec it.
HOW WE APPROACH THIS
Scope the real need
We start with how the vehicle is used, what the footage has to prove, and how long you have to keep it. Patrol evidence and fleet liability are different problems with different answers. We spec to the use, not to a catalog sheet.
Design the full chain
Cameras, recorder, storage, offload, power, and integration with what is already in the vehicle. Every component is chosen to work with the next one, so there are no gaps where video is lost or unprovable.
Install to last
Sector technicians do the upfit: power isolation, clean routing, proper mounting, and commissioning. The install is logged per vehicle and backed by our workmanship guarantee for the life of the system.
Support past day one
Firmware, warranty, RMA handling, and reconfiguration as vehicles rotate. One number to call, and a team that knows your build because they specified it.
THE FULL CHAIN
Cameras matched to the job
The front camera is the heart of the system. For patrol, that means dual 4K with AI license plate recognition reading plates from distance, a wide panoramic view that keeps the whole stop on camera, and low-light performance that holds color when there is almost no light. Add cabin and rear cameras for prisoner transport or full situational coverage. For fleet, the priority shifts to a road-facing and driver-facing pair with driver-state and collision warning. Sector specs the camera set to what the vehicle actually has to document.
The recorder is the hub
The in-car recorder captures multiple camera feeds and vehicle data at once to solid-state, encrypted storage, so you have every angle, not one side of the story. The systems Sector deploys are built for the cabin: fanless, rugged to military environmental standards, encrypted to 256-bit AES, and sized so footage is never lost to a full drive. It also coordinates the rest of the system, triggering cameras and tagging events automatically.
Storage and evidence management that holds up
Footage is only evidence if you can prove no one touched it. Sector deploys evidence management with role-based access, encryption in transit and at rest, full audit logging of every view and edit, and configurable retention. Choose cloud access for fast sharing with prosecutors, or an on-premise design for high-volume retention. Redaction and transcription are built in. The whole backend follows CJIS-aligned practices.
Footage that offloads itself
The weakest link in most systems is the human step. Sector configures automated offload: when the vehicle pulls into Wi-Fi range at the station or yard, video moves to storage without anyone touching it. In-vehicle connectivity and antennas are part of the build, which is also where in-car video meets the router and the rest of the integrated vehicle.
One record, every angle
In-car video does its best work tied to everything else in the vehicle. Coordinated triggering means a light bar activation, a door opening, or a hard G-force event starts the in-car cameras and the officer's body-worn camera at once, so the incident is captured from every angle. The body-worn camera doubles as the wireless microphone. Officers tag video with case numbers from the in-car display.
WHY SECTOR FOR THIS SOLUTION
Public safety DNA
Sector was built on the demands of law enforcement and first responders, where a failed recording is not an inconvenience. That standard carries into every fleet and commercial deployment. When the footage has to be right, the build has to be right.
We install what we sell
Sector technicians do the upfit themselves: power isolation, clean routing, proper mounting, and per-vehicle commissioning. No drop-shipped box and a wiring diagram. The team that specs your system is the team that installs it.
Support for the life of the system
Honest advice, one point of contact, warranty and RMA handling, and reconfiguration as vehicles rotate out. Sector stands behind the workmanship for as long as you run the system.
HOW AN ENGAGEMENT WORKS
Tell us how the vehicles are used
Tell us what the video needs to prove, how many vehicles are involved, and how long you need to keep the footage.
Sector specs the full chain
Sector selects the cameras, recorder, storage, offload, and integration as one system, with every component chosen to work with the next.
You review before anything is ordered
You see the full design and pricing before any equipment is ordered, so there are no surprises at install.
We install, commission, and support
Sector technicians install and commission the system in each vehicle, then support it for the life of the system.

BRANDS FOR THIS SOLUTION
Both. Sector technicians do the full upfit and commission the system per vehicle, backed by a workmanship guarantee. We can also work with your own installers if you prefer.
You choose. Cloud storage for fast sharing with prosecutors, or an on-premise design for high-volume retention. Either way the system uses role-based access, encryption in transit and at rest, and full audit logging, following CJIS-aligned practices.
Yes. Coordinated triggering activates the in-car and body-worn cameras together on a single event, and the body-worn camera can serve as the wireless microphone for the in-car system.
No, and that is the point. Fleet video is built around driver safety and liability rather than legal evidence, on different platforms. Sector sources and integrates the right fleet video platform for your operation. Tell us about your fleet and we will spec it.
It depends on camera count, storage choice, and vehicle count, so we quote per build rather than per box. Send us your fleet size and use and we will turn around a budgetary estimate.
