A steel building is a signal trap

Manufacturing plants, warehouses, and large offices are built from the exact materials that block cellular signal: steel, concrete, and coated glass. The bigger the footprint, the more of it sits far from any window or tower. Staff lose calls, scanners and monitored systems drop off, and a 911 call from the back of the building may not connect at all.

New construction adds a second problem. Once a building passes a certain size, fire and building codes require a public-safety radio system so first responders stay on their radios inside. The fire marshal checks for it, and without it there is no Certificate of Occupancy.

Everyday cellular that doesn't drop

A distributed antenna system pulls the outside signal in and redistributes it through the building over standard Ethernet cabling, boosting all major carriers at once. It runs fully digital, installs without tearing the place apart, and is network-safe, so it won't interfere with the carrier networks. Coverage holds on the floor, in the back office, and in the spots that never had a bar before.

Large buildings need an Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System so police, fire, and EMS keep radio and FirstNet contact inside. Sector designs these to IFC Section 510, NFPA, and UL 2524, installs the amplifier, donor and interior antennas, battery backup, annunciator, and emergency power-off, and produces the test documentation the AHJ signs off on. Where a building needs both cellular and public-safety systems, we keep them separate so they don't interfere.

HOW A FACILITY GETS COVERED

Site survey and design

Tell us about the facility. We run a pre-installation signal sweep, map the dead zones across the footprint, and develop a conceptual design to code.

AHJ submission

We prepare and submit the design documentation to the Authority Having Jurisdiction and work through review and approval.

Coordination

A pre-installation meeting aligns schedule, cable pathways, equipment locations, and the other trades before any cable goes in.

Installation

Amplifiers, donor and interior antennas, cabling, and battery backup go in. Public-safety systems add the annunciator panel and emergency power-off.

Commissioning and acceptance

We configure and commission the system, run the final sweep and grid testing, and support the AHJ inspection.

Training and support

We train your designated personnel and put an ongoing maintenance plan in place.
