Why Sector Carries Xirgo
One platform, one camera to eight
A pickup gets a single AI dash camera. A sanitation truck gets four. A transit bus gets eight. All three can run on the same platform, use the same cameras and cables, and land in the same place for review. Fleets rarely have one kind of vehicle, and Xirgo is one of the few ranges that does not force a different system for each.
Built for vehicles that destroy equipment
The exterior cameras are rated IP69K, which means high-pressure, high-temperature washdown rather than a splash rating. That matters on sanitation, construction and municipal fleets where vehicles get pressure washed on a schedule and standard camera housings do not survive the season.
Certified and carrier-ready
The KP2 ships AT&T certified, including FirstNet, so it works on the network a municipal fleet is likely already standardized on. Cellular, Wi-Fi-only and hardwired variants exist across the range, which means the same camera platform fits a connected long-haul truck and a yard vehicle that only uploads when it comes home.
About Xirgo
Xirgo builds telematics hardware for commercial and municipal fleets and now owns SmartWitness, the video telematics platform their camera systems report into. That combination is the point: the cameras and the software that reviews the footage come from the same place.
Most of their competitors do one or the other. They license third-party hardware and build software on top, or they build devices and hand the data to someone else's platform. Xirgo engineers its own hardware and its own analytics layer, which is why the cameras, the trackers and the recorders all land in one place instead of three.
Sector carries Xirgo because fleet video is a different problem from fixed surveillance or in-car video for patrol, and it deserves hardware built for it. When a claim gets filed against one of your vehicles, the question is what the footage shows. Xirgo's job is making sure there is footage, that it uploaded before anyone asked for it, and that the driver got a warning before the incident rather than a review afterward.
